In grades 7th through 12th, we continue with our emphasis in academic skills and understanding in light of the Word of God that was started in our Elementary program. In addition, we have a special emphasis on a "college preparatory" environment. Courses offered in our secondary school include English (grammar, literature, and speech), Math (algebra I, algebra II, geometry, calculus), Science (life, earth, biology, chemistry, physics), Social Studies (Ohio history, U.S. history, world history, geography, economics, government), Music, P.E, health, yearbook, and computer classes. Academic progress is evaluated yearly with achievement testing.
In addition to academic excellence, FCS provides many "extra-curricular" opportunities which are vital to a secondary education. These opportunities include participation in the Buckeye Christian Schools Association (BCSA) annual academic and fine arts competition, drama productions, and our athletic program. Our sports teams include girl's volleyball and basketball and boy's soccer and basketball. Participation in these "extra-curricular" areas provides lessons learned through hard work and competition which teaches our students how to deal with life's pressures in a Christian manner. |
